Though CBD is gaining in popularity around the world and especially here in the United States, many people still compare CBD oil to other cannabinoids. They believe that ingesting or inhaling CBD can give them a high like Cannabis. To comply with the laws in the US and in many other countries, CBD can only contain trace amounts of THC, the psychoactive compound found in marijuana. So, you will not get a high even with a full-spectrum CBD which can contain no more than 0.3% THC to be legal.
Because it is an unregulated industry, consumers must be careful of the quality of CBD being sold. There were recent news reports that synthetic marijuana was being mixed into CBD and sold in some places. Consuming or smoking these types of products could cause serious harm to your health.
If you want a high, think elsewhere. CBD is not meant to give you a high.
